The Clawback Issue
« on: April 02, 2014, 03:22:17 PM »
Has anyone considered asking that  the claw back formula be adjusted to compensate for CPP contributions after a serviceman retires from the Forces. In my case I retired in 2000 after 33.5 years and then worked for GDLS-C (the LAV builders) for 13 years. During those 13 years I paid CPP as any other Canadian would.  I know other retired people who worked for longer after leaving the Forces.  I may be wrong but to my knowledge these contributions do not mitigate the amount of claw back, $651 per month in my case.
