Veterans? Affairs Employee Union To Outline Impact of Cutbacks at the Department

Press release from the Union of Veterans? Affairs Employees:

 HALIFAX, NS ? The Union of Veterans? Affairs Employees (UVAE), a component

of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), will hold a press conference to
raise awareness on the negative impact that cutbacks at Veterans Affairs
Canada will have on services VAC employees provide to veterans and their
families.

UVAE National President Yvan Thauvette and National Vice-President Michelle
Hachey will make an announcement and answer questions.

Also in attendance will be Jeannie Baldwin, PSAC Regional Executive Vice-
President, Peter Stoffer, Member of Parliament for Sackville-Eastern Shore and
NDP Critic for Veterans Affairs, and members of the veterans and labour
communities.

When: 10am, Thursday, January 19, 2012
