Situation report... D Day Vigil

Be advised that cornerstone speakers have been confirmed for the D Day Vigil for Veterans. In Vancouver, we have a very special guest who will be announced on Wednesday who will speak to the profound unjustness of the Lump Sum Award.

On Parliament Hill, Colonel Patrick Stogran, Canada's 1st Ombudsman, will speak to the issue.

The CVA has always attempted to provide the voices of Canada's premier veterans advocates and in the past Parliament Hill events have provided platforms for Sean Bruyea, Dennis Manuge and Louise Richards amongst others.

We are however, truly honoured that Colonel Stogran has accepted our invitation to speak on behalf of the wounded and I would encourage all veterans within a reasonable distance to travel to Ottawa on D Day and stand with us as we fight for the restoration of the life-time obligation our wounded warriors most assuredly deserve.

One Veteran, One standard, One Voice. Veterans voice. Vigil assemble at the National War memorial 1400-1500 before we, united under principle and cause, march to the steps of the House of Commons where Pat Stogran and other dignitaries will speak.

You can make a difference to a seriously wounded veterans life by just by being there.
