The Canadian Veterans Advocacy has engaged all parliamentarians -Conservative, NDP, Liberals - in our attempt to define the hardships our modern veterans are experiencing as a consequence of the New Veterans Charter. I would note that the meeting with Mr Mulcair was intense and that the CVA's mandate was clearly defined. There is support form the NDP and I have been invited to speak at the NDP convention in support of the veterans Platform that NDP Veterans critic will be presenting to caucus. This is important, should this mandate be voted upon successfully at the convention, it will become the NDP formal policy and should they be elected next, they are obligated to enforce.
